Hailing from the West Midlands, Namiwa Jazz is an international singer-songwriter and composer who speaks her truth, with a fearless lyrical approach to subjects that mean a lot to her. Whether singing with just a guitar accompaniment or a full band her unique singing style is leaving music lovers feeling that once again, the world may see another great voice emerge from the region that amongst others, gave the world Joan Armatrading and Laura Mvula.


Surprising listeners with a voice and aura way beyond her years she describes her sound as Afro-Twang blending genres of Soul, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Reggae, and Funk music. Namiwa Jazz showcases an extraordinary creative talent that spans a mature and heartfelt ability to write songs, a hugely impressive vocal range and ability to deliver stunning vocals in the studio and on stage.

Namiwa Jazz has supported the likes of Public Enemy, Brian Jackson, The Floacist (Floetry), Jimmy Cliff, Teedra Moses,  Jacob Banks, Etta Bond and played ahead of Gregory Porter at Mostly Jazz Soul & Funk Festival. Accompanied with full band, Namiwa Jazz played BBC 2 Cheltenham Jazz Festival on the Free Stage on the same day as Snarky Puppy.


Namiwa Jazz has been in the studio writing and recording with her 10 piece band creating new music to share with the world. Tom Robinson from BBC 6 Introducing sat up when he heard it and noted the unique groves and lyrics in 'Let Me Treat You Right'.

2020 will be Namiwa Jazz most successful year in music yet, with a set of planned releases and confirmed gigs and festivals around the UK and Europe, Namiwa plans to bring nothing but sweet vibes and unique music to the industry
